Growing up in Salford

Cross Lane Fairy's,
All Around
Fur Coat No Knickers,
Off to Town

The Crofts Were Our Playgrounds
The Bins was our Stage
Green Shield Stamps
Lined up on the page

Off to Clarendon Baths
Or Seedley Pool
Don't Rob Off Your Own
Was Always The Rule

Chimney Pot Park
To Try Out New Craze's
And the Girls Sat Around
Making Chains with the Daisy's

Off to your Nan's
In the Hope of Some Spends
Then off to the Carlton
To Meet Up With Your Friends

The Kettledrum busy
With Our James and Sam
My Dad watching Football
My Mam Pushing a Pram

All Of the Jewels
I see in my head
Memories of Streets
Moore's Bakery Bread

Its my home for always
Until I'm extinct
I'l Just nip to Johns stall
On Salford Precinct
